Awesome God!
We give you thanks and praise that you have heard our prayers and are working even as we continue to pray and to respond with the gifts that we have to the great need in Myanmar and in China. Thank you for opening doorways that are otherwise sealed tight. Thank you for changing hearts and healing hurts and reuniting families and healing a broken nation. The years of suffering, the years of destruction, the years of brokenness, you are restoring as only you can. Glory and Honor and Praise to YOU, Lord God! Amen.

Dear Father, We thank You that we always have access to you and your grace. Have mercy and give hope and courage to the people of Myanmar and China in the wake of the devastations which have hit their countries. Send aid and give comfort to those who mourn, those who are hurt in ways we cannot even understand...but You do! Give fortitude to the relief workers and open the hearts of the leaders in Myanar to accept aid for their people. Open the hearts of your children all over the world to call to you in prayer daily and to share generously in all the ways we can to help alleviate the suffering. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Dear Father in Heaven,
Give to all in Myanmar and China, victims and families, endurance for facing the earthquake and Cyclone with Your Power from Your Kingdom. Grant to them Your presence. Always be with them in walking day by day, even without home, food, and property. Please God, watch them and cover them from any fear or worries.

In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen

Almighty God, do what You always do in the midst of chaos: let Your brooding Spirit bring peace. In the chaos of misunderstanding, fear and desire to control, breakthrough with Your promise of peace. In the chaos of pain, rubble and death, restore Your creation to peace. Amen.

Holy Circulating Spirit, Stir the hearts of leaders to compassion. Open the gates of hardened hearts that our brothers and sisters may recieve the aide that gathers at ports of entry. Strengthen the resolve of those who wait to serve. May all see you at work through these servants. Amen

Dear Lord, May these situations in Myanmar and China will lead more people to you through Jesus Christ. As they recover from these help them see and feel your love and your presence. In Jesus name. Amen!

Dear Lord, forgive us:

For whining about things that don't matter.
For never being able to see beyond our own desires.
For talking about our "needs" when really we're speaking of our "wants."
For arguing about what does not matter and forgetting about what does.

Lord, forgive us for missing the point, and help us to join You in what You are doing in the world.

I cannot imagine the fear. I cannot imagine the pain. I cannot imagine the sounds of emptiness and the cries of those in need. I sit and am filled with grief for those I do not know, yet am connected to. What do I know? That today, God's tears are still falling and God's arms are outstretched. I know these are easy words from my comfortable, safe home. My prayer is that these brothers and sisters of mine will know by the power of the Holy Spirit that we are connected and that I and others grieve with and for them. And that those of us in safety will respond as the hands and feet of Jesus because we follow Jesus' words to love others as we love ourselves. And finally, that God's tears will wash and refreash them and God's arms will lift them from the rubble and hold them through the pain.

Dear Lord,

Tho the shock waves and the waves of flood and strong winds have great power, may we believe that the power of Your love and the embrace of Your people be a stronger force for help in healing. Comfort the grieving, send assistance for the suffering, and may those in leadership embrace that there is a Power that is greater for good. In the name of the Master, Amen.
